Meeting Reminder!

Our December meeting will be held

Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 7pm at

   AccuQuilt

8843 S. 137th Circle

Omaha, Nebraska

Agenda:

• Officer elections for 2017! All paid members are eligible to run for the offices of President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary.
• Renew membership and pay dues ($35) for 2017.
• Show & Tell
• Mini quilt exchange. Bring a handmade mini quilt (minimum 12" x 12" and no larger than 25" x 25"). We will swap them white-elephant style!

You can also bring your QuiltCon wonky star blocks. There are additional fabric packs available as well. Hope to see your there!

The Omaha Modern Quilt Guild will be sending completed ‪#‎quiltsforpulse‬ to the Orlando Modern Quilt Guild.We will be collecting quilt blocks, scheduling sew-ins to make blocks and assemble quilt tops, and looking for volunteers to quilt and bind. Stay tuned for details! More information about this effort can be found at the Orlando Modern Quilt Guild's blog. If you would like to start making blocks (bright color hearts with low-volume background), there are instructions for a simple 10" heart block here at Cluck, Cluck, Sew.

Raffle Quilt!

The Omaha Modern Quilt Guild has been given the opportunity to sell tickets for a raffle quilt at the Douglas County Fair happening July 21-23, 21016! This is short notice, but we have such awesome members that we can have a beautiful quilt done in time.

We will be making a bright, scrappy, modern quilt like this one...

Our June meeting will be held at AccuQuilt! Those members that have signed up for the Libs Elliott workshop will have the opportunity to cut your pattern pieces in the AccuQuilt Dream Studio.

**Due to weather conditions, Sunshine Stitches will be closed Tuesday, February 2, and our monthly meeting is cancelled. We'll see you in March. Stay safe!**
