Winter Block Lotto

 We will be making Purl Soho's Striped Star Block for our winter block lotto. Please make as many blocks as you'd like. You will receive one ticket per block to be entered in the drawing to win enough to make an entire throw quilt. You will need to bring these blocks to the January meeting or get them to one of the board members prior to the meeting in order to receive a ticket. Please find the free pattern below. 

We will be making the stripes out of Greys, Low Volumes and a small pop of Icy Blue. The background pieces should be an icy white in either a solid or tone on tone.

2022 Survey

New Meeting Space as of September 7, 2021

We found a new space!!!!!! Starting at our **September 7th** meeting we will now be at the Westside Community Center located at 3534 108th St in Omaha.

Sew Creative has been so so good to us over the last few years but prior to Covid we were starting to burst at the seams. Since that time our membership has grown even more and with the desire to be together in person but still wanting to space out a bit we knew it was time to find something that could accommodate that.

We toured the site yesterday and there are so many possibilities for us at this site. We will be meeting in the large cafeteria area pictured in the top two photos. The room extends quite a ways back behind what is shown and we can get as many tables and chairs as we need! The bottom photo is of their double classroom which we think would work wonderfully for day workshops. It’s also large enough we could host a quilt show here in the future and also retreat days! There is also a large green space outdoors as well as plenty of parking!

Sew Creative has graciously offered to still allow us their space to use for in person sew days and we hope to get those back on the schedule soon. We can’t wait to see you all in this new space!

2021 in person Fall Quilt Retreat

We are so thrilled to announce that we will have our first in-person retreat since Covid, this fall in Winterset, IA. The retreat will take place the first weekend in October-Friday, October 1st thru Sunday, October 3rd. The cost for retreat is $65.00 per person and you will still be responsible for booking your hotel room separately and meals for this retreat will not be provided. There is a small kitchenette at the retreat center that will be available for your use. For more information and a list of hotels in the area, please refer to the google form below.
