The Quilts for Kids design challenge final tonight. Many of the quilt designs were made up into quilts to give to Lincoln Quilts for Kids which provides quilts to local hospitals for sick children.
Some of the designs submitted for quilts:
Jennifer
Susan had two
Alice had two
Kaye made the large size so we made it into a smaller kids size
Kristina
Emily
Kelly had two ideas from her son. One was the shield
and one was a smiley face but with the cat fabric I had it came out as a cat!
Megan
Last but not least MaryAnn with the winning design! Her design was written up and will be made into kits for the Lincoln Quilts for Kids group.
Some of the designs were made up into actual quilts by Kris Jarchow in her own fabric and interpretation as test quilts. All of the designs submitted were looked over for ease of cutting and use of fabric. The final determination was not only about ease but also about modern design. Mary Ann's design has so many possibilities. Thanks for all who participated!!!
Kim showed off some of the BOM blocks. All blocks and tutorials are on our pinterest page HERE
