This is our final block of the Stars Over Omaha BOM. We hope you've enjoyed making these stars through out the year. Special thanks to Lynn Poly for curating these blocks and making very detailed instructions for us.

Once you have completed all of your blocks you are free to assemble them however you like. Add sashing, add more blocks, sew them together and add a border, whatever your heart desires!

We'd love to see them as you finish them. If you share on Instagram please tag us @omahamqg or #omqg23bom.

Thank you sew much for sewing along with us this year!

    Fireworks Pinwheel

Block by Cath of Wombat Quilts wombatquilts.com

This 12-inch (finished size) block is a variation of a classic pinwheel block design, using paper-piecing. The pinwheel block first appeared in pioneer quilting of the late 1700s. The design was inspired by windmills on farms and in small towns. Instructions for two similar rotary-cut blocks are also included.

Mini Map Quilt Workshop with Ellene McClay

Ellene McClay, a member of our guild, will be leading this mini quilt workshop at Celtic Quilter on June 24, 2023. PROVIDED: fusible supplies, yarn for couching and your freezer paper template. In the information below there is a spot for you pick the location or area you want to map. Ellene will prep and bring a template for you to use that day.

Please bring a sewing machine, fabrics you love in your chosen color palette, scissors and your chosen thread color.

The workshop will run from 10:00 am - 4:30 pm with a lunch break. (Lunch will not be provided.)
